Meet the friendly staff at Salem Veterinary Service!

  • Lora Tucker, D.V.M.

    Dr. Lora Tucker purchased the practice from Dr. Trent Fisher in 2018. She is a 2008 graduate of Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine after completing her undergraduate degree at Murray State University. She enjoys preventative medicine and soft tissue surgery. She is married to husband, Steve, and they have two children. When not taking care of your feline and canine companions, she is often camping and trail riding horses. 

  • Kayla Stilger, D.V.M.

    Dr. Kayla Stilger joined the practice in 2019. She graduated from Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2017 after completing a Master’s degree from Indiana University- Purdue University in Microbiology and Immunology and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from University of Evansville. She enjoys preventative/wellness care, internal medicine, and behavior. When not taking care of your feline, canine and small mammal pets, she enjoys competing in obedience, rally, and various other dog sports. She also enjoys camping, hiking, and working in the community with two of her registered therapy dogs. 

  • Kristy Kelly, BS, RVT
    Veterinary Technologist/Office Manager

    Kristy is our Registered Veterinary Technician.  She graduated from Purdue University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Veterinary Technology and an Associate’s Degree in Animal Science. Kristy moved to Salem from northern Indiana when she started with the practice in March 2006.  Her family consists of her husband, Adam, and 5 four legged kids.  

  • Marnie Bennett
    Veterinary Assistant

    Marnie joined our team as a veterinary assistant in 2013. She comes with 6 years of experience.  She enjoys horseback riding, camping, cooking, and taking care of all her farm animals.  Marnie is a member of First Baptist Church of Campbellsburg and Southern Indiana Search and Rescue Team. 

  • Samantha Davidson
    Veterinary Assistant

    Samantha joined the team in 2016 as a veterinary assistant. Sam graduated from the Vet Tech Institute at Indiana Business College. Samantha is from the Medora area and married to husband Jacob. 

  • Sue Burger
    Veterinary Assistant

    Sue joined the practice in 2016 as a veterinary assistant. She studied pre-veterinary medicine at Michigan State University. She spends her free time with her new grandson and raising thoroughbreds at Ledgerwood Farms
